Igreja e centro paroquial, Balasar, Braga

 

Com um sentido de drama e sombrio da vila e de contraste entre os muros de xisto e os verdes variados e densos da vegetação, a nova igreja para a beata Alexandrina, de planta métrica quadrangular pretende reflectir uma simplicidade espacial perante a vila, situada no limite sul mas a cota alta do vale onde se situa, proposta para uma grande afluência de pessoas habitualmente. O novo limite, os muros de metal acabam no desenho do próprio espaço de convívio, a igreja e o batistério relacionado-se sempre com a água e a vegetação, símbolos da vida.

 

With a sense of drama and gloomy village and contrast between the schist walls and varied and dense green vegetation, the new church to the Blessed Alexandrina, quadrangular plant metric to reflect a spatial simplicity before the village, situated on the edge south but the high elevation of the valley in which it proposed for a large turnout of people habitually.
